Eric Fitzgerald appointed as general manager of Rivers Casino Philadelphia – Casino Journal

Rivers Casino Philadelphia, located on Delaware Avenue, recently appointed a new general manager to oversee the property. Eric Fitzgerald, a seasoned gaming and hospitality executive from Las Vegas, has taken on the role, pending approval by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. This announcement comes as the casino celebrates its 10th anniversary.

Fitzgerald brings with him a wealth of experience, having most recently served as president and COO of the Excalibur Hotel & Casino on the famous Las Vegas Strip. His impressive resume also includes leadership roles at the Circus Circus Hotel & Casino and a near-decade tenure as senior VP of operations for Luxor/Excalibur Hotel & Casino.

Greg Carlin, CEO of Rush Street Gaming, expressed confidence in Fitzgerald’s ability to lead Rivers Casino Philadelphia, citing his successful track record in operating large-scale destination properties in highly competitive markets. Carlin noted that Fitzgerald’s experience in Las Vegas has prepared him well for the challenges of the Philadelphia gaming market.

Fitzgerald is an alumnus of Arizona State University, where he earned a bachelor of science degree in finance. He steps into the shoes of Rob Long, a respected figure in the casino industry, who recently retired as general manager of Rivers Casino Philadelphia after a distinguished four-decade career in gaming. Pete Longi continues in his role as the assistant general manager at the casino.

The appointment of Eric Fitzgerald signals a new chapter for Rivers Casino Philadelphia, as the property looks to capitalize on his expertise and leadership to drive growth and enhance customer loyalty. With his extensive background in the gaming and hospitality industry, Fitzgerald is poised to bring fresh energy and innovative strategies to the thriving Philadelphia casino.
